Welcome to the Information Communication Technology (ICT) department! A good knowledge of ICT is vital in today's modern world. It is our aim to prepare St Luke's pupils to succeed in the technological world of tomorrow by teaching them a varied curriculum of skills and knowledge. ICT is a practical subject and students are encouraged to develop a range of skills using a wide variety of applications. Students are assessed regularly and targets are set to encourage students to achieve their maximum potential.

In years 7 and 8 students complete a series of mini projects which teach vital skills through different ICT related themes, designed to introduce new skills and prepare them for GCSE ICT in year 9.

In years 9 and 10 students follow a GCSE course designed to develop their ICT skills and prepare them for the world of work or further study in ICT.

The ICT department regularly run homework and coursework booster sessions for students who might feel they need extra help. The classes take place at lunch time on Tuesdays and Fridays, and their aim is to support the student and offer advice to enable them to produce their personal best as well as giving further access to the college ICT equipment and software.
