Information and Communication Technology - Year 10

Course content

All current Year 10 students began their ICT OCR Nationals qualification in Year 9, and continue to study for this over 2 hours of learning per fortnight. It is a core subject, studied by all. This practical, 100% coursework based qualification involves units including ICT Skills for Business, Creating Sound Using ICT, and Digital Imaging.

Students can opt for further units in ICT, and have an additional 5 lessons per fortnight. This allows them to study a wider breadth of units including Web Design and Computer Animation.

Recommended book list and websites

Students are taught internet search skills to aid independence when finding relevant websites.

Homework/coursework requirements

Homework is usually set once per fortnight.
