Modern Foreign Languages - Year 9

All year 9 language classes are working on the first year GCSE specification in their main language. Set one are doing their main language only whereas sets 2 or 3 in the French cohort may have one lesson of Spanish fortnightly. All lower sets study their main language to Entry level specification. Please see year 10 for details. We make use of many different audio-visual resources too.

French: Tricolore nouvelle 4, Edexcel French GCSE foundation and higher, WJEC Foundation course
Spanish: Listos 3, Mira AQA, Edexcel Spanish GCSE Foundation and Higher

Homework is given once weekly and is generally a written piece or a learning exercise but is more research based and often consists of an on-going project.
