Philip Reeve, author of the "Mortal Engines" quartet of books among others, visited us on Wednesday 22nd February.

He spoke to Years 7, 8 and 9 in the Hall throughout the day about how he became interested in writing and creating mythical worlds. He talked about some of his creative influences such as "The Lord of the Rings" and "Narnia" books and "Star Wars" films.

Philip is also an illustrator and has illustrated the "Murderous Maths" series of books and he did some illustrations for us during the talks.

At lunchtime we sold copies of Philip's books and he very kindly signed books and compliments slips for lots of students.

We very much enjoyed Philip's visit and hope to work with him again in the future.
